MyFEST 2015

Following the momentum of Visit Malaysia Year 2014, the year 2015 has been designated as Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015, or MyFEST 2015.

Skyride Festival Park


Throughout 2015 - Lake Putrajaya
Enjoy a magnificent view of Putrajaya from 150m above ground! Held for the first time ever, this festival offers the opportunity for visitors to ride on a giant helium balloon with a gondola measuring 13m. It can accommodate a total of 30 passengers per ride.


MyFEST 2015 Grand Launching

Delight your senses with the MyFEST Grand Launching as kick-off for the year of 2015 showcasing Citrawarna  to bring back the amazing and reinventing the celebration of the various colours and feel of Malaysia’s diverse culture and natural attractions via colourful performances that surely will astound you.

KL Light Festival


11-17 Jan 2015 - Medan Pasar, Dataran Merdeka
This festival will have a dazzling showcase of the largest light installation, dancing fountains, water screen, pyrotechnics and multimedia lasers displays, video mapping - projecting advertisements and branding on Suria KLCC. This festival will also bring together international and local musicians creating music on a single platform, whilst at the same time, promoting the theme.

Tioman International Classic Surfing


29 Jan – 31 Jan 2015 - Kg Juara, Pulau Tioman
This is an exciting surfing competition that was first held in Pulau Tioman and is organised within the South China Sea which is beautiful location where the wave heights are ideal for new surfers getting to know the watersports.

World Kite Festival


11-15 Feb 2015 - Bukit Layang-Layang, Pasir Gudang
The World Kite Festival, Pasir Gudang is an annual event that features numerous kite players participating in various unique activities involving sports, culture, tourism, recreation and leisure. These activities are free for all nationalities of the world to attend through one ambition and culture of kite flying under one sky. Entry is open locally as well as internationally to about 30 different countries.

Chingay Parade


26 Feb 2015 (Johor Bahru)
The Chingay Parade is a street parade event and part of the celebration of Chinese New Year. This event was firstly introduced in Johor Bahru in 2006 and the parade stretches go as far as 15km throughout the city of Johor Bahru. The parade of about 145 groups usually lasts from mid afternoon to after midnight with an array of lion dances, acrobatic performances, beating drums, gongs and decorated parade  floats.

Malaysia Chinese New Year Open House Celebration

Mac 2015 - Nationwide

Pesta Angin Timur 2015


March 2015
This program was held since 2011 and has become an annual event for the state of Perlis. Its an event that showcases traditional element of arts that are popular in Perlis such as the Tarian Canggung, Tarian Hadrah, Awang Batil and also the famous Wayang Kulit. The Pesta Angin Timur event often took place during the dry season of Perlis which is around February and March respectively.

Chap Goh Meh Celebration

On the fifteenth day of the Chinese New Year, Chap Goh Meh, also known as the Chinese Valentine's Day, attracts singletons who throw oranges into the sea in hopes of finding their true soul mates.
